It just goes to show that we have a mountain to climb, but that the council are thinking along the same lines with us in the city – together we can improve the housing stock across this fantastic city and become a beacon for Green Building nationwide.

LEAF project now full

Hi,

thanks to all of the people who have signed up to our LEAF funded Home Energy Reports… we have now reached our quota of 150 reports and they should soon begin to be completed and sent to the homeowners who have been assessed.

If you have feedback on the reports we would love to hear it – please leave comments below.

If you would be interested in a report in the future – there are rumours that the LEAF project may extended, so please leave us your details so we can contact you if this happens – watch this space…

Green Deal Consultation submission

Today the Green Building Partnership sent our own analysis of some of the issues facing the proposed Green Deal, in time for the end of the public consultation regarding the proposals.

All we can hope for now if that our voice, the voice of the AECB and other experts in Building Physics and eco-renovation industry are listened to – fingers crossed.

Consultations and other news

Well, as I have blogged before the Green Deal consultation deadline is coming up on the 18th. Have you all had the joy of reading the several hundred pages and over 60 questions? Well Frances has been diligently trying to put together a full response from us here at the GBP, and one of our other colleagues David is just casting his own eye over the reposnse before we publish.

In the meantime we have been involved in some very interesting discussion about it on the AECB forum – see here http://www.aecb.net/forum/index.php/topic,3448.0.html

David from Efficient Refurbs gets involved on the first page but Bright Green Homes wades in on page two… lots of interesting things….

Our new co-operative is live for 2012

As a group of small independent companies in Brighton and Hove we have come together to form a not for profit cooperative to help make energy efficiency improvements to domestic properties in the South East.

Bright Green Homes LLP & Efficient Refurbs Ltd are the first two directors of this cooperative and several other companies have also pledged their support – more news to follow….
